The Chariton FFA Chapter made a huge impact on the lives of 24 local families. This inspiring mission was accomplished with the help of the Deb and Jeff Hansen Foundation’s Ignite the Spirit program that’s offered alongside Operation Christmas Meal to fight food insecurity in Iowa.
The FFA members worked with the middle school food pantry to distribute the pork loin meals to families in need within their community after picking up all the canned goods necessary to complete the meals.
The Chariton FFA Chapter is one of almost 50 student-based organizations that applied for the Ignite the Spirit program offered by Iowa Select Farms and the Deb and Jeff Hansen Foundation.
