“Sometimes the smallest demonstration of grace can make a huge difference in someone’s life. Thanks for bringing a little sunshine into sometimes a very dark world,” said Richard, member of the Dows, IA American Legion.
Tuesday night was another special visit to one of our Homegrown Iowa Communities. The Dows American Legion welcomed us with a lot of happy and contagious smiles. On a chilly October evening, the building itself wasn’t the only warmth we felt as we entered their meeting. The attention, appreciation and genuine hearts of the members made us feel right at home.
The Deb and Jeff Hansen Foundation is honored to deliver our My Veteran Hero gifts to veterans in our local communities, and we always hope the gifts bring them joy long after our visit is over. Thank you for your sacrifice and courage to protect and serve our country, Dows American Legion members!
