Originally from Houston, Texas, Tom Daily was in Iowa for a funeral and read an ad in the local paper promoting job openings with Iowa Select Farms. At the time, he was a locksmith. But the new opportunity and company interested him, so he called the number in the ad.
‘I remember they paid for my plane ticket to come up and interview, and after I accepted the job, they took great care in moving my wife and me up to Iowa,” he said.
Tom started work at Peterson sow farm and never left the sow system—over the years, he joined the teams at Kramer sow farm and Sow 9. Today, he’s the manager at Sow 8. His son, James, is the manager at Jones Sow Farm.
What’s made Tom stay after all these years? “I’ve always appreciated the benefits, the extra efforts they make to show their appreciation and the way they treat their employees.”
Congratulations to Tom Daily on 25 years of service!
